The armed forces of every country have a crucial and superior role in this mission: to save humanity and the planet. Their mission is no longer limited to defending a nation or preparing for war. Today, their supreme duty is to defend life on Earth, facing the greatest threat we’ve ever known: uncontrolled climate change. Members of the armed forces, with their expertise in coordination, planning, and strategic deployment, are uniquely positioned to lead the Planetary Climate Emergency Master Plan.
At Maitreya Corp, we invite military personnel from all countries to participate in this crucial mission during their free time, through organized teleworking. In addition, they will receive economic benefits as recognition for their valuable contributions. This is an opportunity to serve humanity in an extraordinary way, contributing to global projects aimed at stopping climate collapse. Their preparation, discipline, and ability to operate in complex situations are key to the success of this mission.
We are facing a time limit. At Mayday.live, we estimate that we have until December 2024 to activate the SCoPEX Project and proceed with reducing the global average temperature by 1.5°C. This must be accompanied by a drastic reduction in energy demand and the elimination of hydrocarbon use within a maximum period of four years.
If we do not take these measures, starting in January 2025, positive feedback loops will begin to activate between all coupled ecosystems of the biosphere, with an initial focus on Antarctica. The effect: the cracking of the Thwaites Glacier. Its complete thaw between 2026 and 2028 will raise sea levels by 60 centimeters. Subsequently, more than a dozen continental glaciers will be exposed, causing ocean levels to rise by 3 meters.
Between 2028 and 2030, the release of clathrates will begin on the ESAS platform in Siberia, and by 2031/33, methane and carbon reserves will be released in all oceans. By 2035, we will reach the maximum peak of the greenhouse effect. Earth could become uninhabitable, with a surface temperature of 100°C due to the intense evaporation of the oceans.
We don’t know for certain if this will happen, but we cannot wait to find out when it’s too late. We need an immediate global multidisciplinary scientific effort to predict these complex interactions and make timely global decisions.
At GSL Systems, we are in the initial phases and lack sufficient resources. Enfrentamos un tiempo límite. En Mayday.live, estimamos que tenemos hasta diciembre de 2024 para activar el Proyecto SCoPEX y proceder a reducir la temperatura promedio global en 1,5°C. Si no tomamos estas medidas, a partir de enero de 2025, comenzarán a activarse retroalimentaciones positivas entre todos los ecosistemas acoplados de la biosfera, con un enfoque inicial en la Antártida. El efecto: el grieteo del Glaciar Thwaites. Su deshielo completo entre 2026 y 2028 elevará el nivel del mar en 60 centímetros. Posteriormente, más de una docena de glaciares continentales estarán expuestos, provocando un aumento de 3 metros en los océanos.
Entre 2028 y 2030, comenzará la liberación de clatratos en la plataforma ESAS de Siberia, y para 2031/33, se liberarán reservas de metano y carbono en todos los océanos. Para 2035, alcanzaremos el pico máximo del efecto invernadero. La Tierra podría volverse inhabitable con una temperatura superficial de 100°C debido a la intensa evaporación de los océanos.
No sabemos con certeza si esto sucederá, pero no podemos esperar a descubrirlo demasiado tarde. Necesitamos un esfuerzo científico multidisciplinario y global inmediato para predecir estas interacciones complejas y tomar decisiones globales oportunas.
